You have a purpose that extends far beyond your career, school, and everyday life. You may achieve great things on your own, but there is a whole other level! The only way to realize that is through a relationship with Jesus Christ. It’s called Divine Status!
Notes 📓✏️:
There is a life that is more than achieving status. A life of right standing and significance that will never be realized by your own efforts and accomplishments.
Divine Status!
Move from striving for worldly status and importance to having right standing and a life of significance.
Psalms 103:6 (NLT): “The LORD gives righteousness.”
Righteous means: Right standing with God.
“There is a God-shaped vacuum in the heart of each man which cannot be satisfied by any created thing but only by God the Creator, made known through Jesus Christ.” – Blaise Pascal
2 Corinthians 5:21 (NLT): “For God made [Jesus] Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right [righteous] with God through Christ.”
Isaiah 64:6 (TLB): “We are all infected and impure with sin. When we put on our prized robes of righteousness, we find they are but filthy rags.”
Through the work of Jesus on the cross, we have been given the status of being in right standing with God.
What does Divine Status give you?
1. The Lord is compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. (Psalm 103:8)
2. He will not constantly accuse us, nor remain angry forever. He does not punish us for all our sins; He does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve. (Psalm 103:9-10)
“There are only two kinds of people in the end: those who say to God, ‘Thy will be done,’ and those to whom God says, in the end, ‘Thy will be done.’” – C.S. Lewis
3. For His unfailing love toward those who fear Him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west. (Psalm 103: 11-12)
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NLT): “…those who become Christians become new persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A new life has begun!”
Because Jesus has given you Divine status, which has put you into right standing with God, you live a life of true significance.
1. Some live on a Survival Level.
2. Most live on the Success Level.
3. Few find the Significance Level.
A life full of blessing with purpose.
Genesis 12:2 (Amp): “And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you [with abundant increase of favors] and make your name famous and distinguished, and you will be a blessing [dispensing good to others].”
God has blessed you for a purpose.
A life full that keeps eternity in focus.
2 Peter 3:9 (TLB): “[Jesus] isn’t really being slow about His promised return, even though it sometimes seems that way. But He is waiting, for the good reason that He is not willing that any should perish, and He is giving more time for sinners to repent.”
