Every number is a person.
Every person has a soul.
And every soul has an eternity.
We are not building buildings or ministries; we are building stories for eternity.
Christmas is all about God giving His world a new story.
“And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.”
Luke 2:8-10 (NIV)
“For All People”
Christmas means we can have hope eternal.
The HOPE that Jesus could change their present life.
He offered supernatural hope, because is the Son of God.
People did whatever they could to find Jesus because when they found Him, they found forgiveness and a new life!
The holidays tend to amplify everything.
Interruption of Hope!
“I bring you good news!”
Hope is not found in perfect circumstances. Hope is found in a perfect Savior.
How does Jesus give us hope?
1. We hope because we are born again.
“[God] has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”
1 Peter 1:3 (ESV)
2. We hope because we are free from guilt and shame.
“Hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts.”
Romans 5:5 (ESV)
3. We hope because we have eternal life with God.
“in hope of eternal life, which God, who never lies, promised before the ages began”
Titus 1:2 (ESV)4. We hope because Jesus is with us.
“I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:20 (ESV)Do you know…
1. God loves you
2. God is for you
3. God is with you
How did He find you?
God used His people. He used His church.
God’s people were willing to show up on the scene with a message of hope!
Today, ALL OF US are in the place because someone showed up in our lives in the Name of Jesus.
Hope has come to us, but hope cannot stay with us. It must be given away.
When people are lost, God’s people show up with hope and generosity.
“Thank you, Jesus, for giving me hope. Now, I will give so others can find hope too!”
