Q: Where can I download the app?
A: The app is currently available to download or update on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
Q: What is different about the new version of the app?
A: The updated app contains many new features to help personalize and simplify your mobile experience. These features allow you to watch weekend messages live or catch up on previous ones you might have missed, access inspirational articles to help you grow in your faith, and keep you informed on all that is happening at City First—all tailored to what content is most relevant to you! Stay tuned for updates and new features as we continue to make the app the perfect companion to your City First experience!
Q: Why do I need to create a login?
A: We’re excited about the launch of our brand new City First app that features a personalized content feed, the ability to watch messages live or catch up on any you might have missed, and campus event information—all relevant to you! That’s why we ask for some basic information to make sure you’re seeing things that are most important to you and your family, and the information shared is used only for that purpose. We’re excited about this resource that will equip us to communicate with you more effectively and help you make the most of your City First experience!
Q: Can I continue using the old app?
A: We recommend updating to the latest version of the app in order to have access to the most accurate information as we will no longer be supporting the old version of the app.
Q: Can I still give using the app?
A: Yes! Under your Profile tab, you will see a green “Give” button which will take you directly to our giving platform so you can continue giving easily and securely online.
Q: Can I still take notes in the app?
A: The notes-taking feature isn’t available right now but you can still follow along with the notes under the “Current Message Notes” feature on the home page.
Q: Will I have access to notes that I previously entered in the old app?
A: Old notes will not transfer over to the new app. Since notes will not be available after you update, we recommend saving your notes in another place before updating to the new app. If you’d like to continue taking notes on your device, we suggest using your phone’s note feature or downloading an app like Evernote or Google Docs.
Q: The app is taking a while to load content, is that normal?
A: Loading difficulties are generally a result of poor cellular or Wifi connection. We recommend you check your connection and try closing and reopening the app. If the problem persists, please submit an issue report so we can help to get you reconnected!
Q: When I created my account, some information about me was already pre-filled. How do you have that information?
A: To prevent you from frequently having to fill in your personal information on any City First forms—special event registries, Dream Team check-ins, connect cards—we save it for your benefit. We do not use this information for anything beyond your convenience.
