Made to Matter

“What is my purpose in life?” We’ve all asked this question at some point. The truth is, you were designed by your Creator ON purpose and FOR a divine purpose. Pastor Jeremy shows us how to dial into what we were made for!

Notes 📓✏️:

“What am I here for?”

“What is the meaning of life?”

“Where is my life heading?”

“What’s my life’s purpose?”

Existing without purpose is a perilous way to live.

Ecclesiastes 1:2 (NIV): “Meaningless! Meaningless! Utterly meaningless! Everything is meaningless.”

Short-term highs won’t fill long-term holes in our hearts.

“The societal disease of our time is short-term thinking.” – Norman Lear (TV Producer)

Purpose is the original intent for the creation of a thing.

Your purpose is given to you by your Creator!

“To remove your purpose would be to significantly change who you are, because your purpose both informs and reveals your nature and your responsibilities. Everything you naturally have and inherently are is necessary for you to fulfill your purpose. Your height, race, skin color, language, physical features and intellectual capacity are all designed for your purpose.” – Pastor Miles Monroe

The WAY you are is because of your WHY.

1. You’re Not a Cosmic Coincidence – You’re a Crafted Creation.

Psalm 139:13-14 (NLT): “You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.”

Purpose is not self-created but God-given.

2. Before God Wants Your Service, He Wants Your Attention.

God fully loved you BEFORE you made Jesus the Leader and Forgiver of your life.

Romans 5:8 (NLT): “But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.”

You cannot work your way into right relationship with God.

3. God Isn’t Distant – He’s Dialed In

Psalms 145:18 (NIV): “The LORD is near to all who call on him.”

You’re not ignored – you’re known.

4. Your Life is a Canvas, and Worship is the Paint

You were created to have a relationship with God and to worship Him.

God created you for a relationship with Him, and the natural response is worship.

Knowing your purpose gives you confidence.

Knowing your purpose gives you protection.

Acts 13:36 (NIV): “Now when David had served God’s purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep.”

Knowing your purpose gives you perseverance.

Knowing your purpose brings you joy and contentment.

Philippians 4:11-13 (Msg): “Actually, I don’t have a sense of needing anything personally. I’ve learned by now to be quite content whatever my circumstances. I’m just as happy with little as with much, with much as with little. I’ve found the recipe for being happy whether full or hungry, hands full or hands empty. Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am.”
