We were not designed to merely survive but to THRIVE in this life. THRIVE means to grow or develop well or vigorously, to prosper, and to flourish. When we encounter Jesus, we believe it changes everything.

Thrive Conference is designed for youth and young adults. Our prayer is that it’s not just another weekend but the beginning of a movement in the lives of everyone who attends. There’ll be intentional times of worship, powerful messages from world-renowned speakers, creative elements, special musical performances, a house party, and ridiculous amounts of fun.

FAQs

WHAT IS THE THRIVE

Thrive Conference, hosted by City First Church, sees over 1,000 youth and young adults gather each year. Our purpose is to equip young people, from middle school to young adults (18-30), discover life to the fullest through Jesus Christ! We were not designed to merely survive but to THRIVE in this life. When we encounter Jesus, we believe it changes everything.

There’ll be intentional times of worship, powerful messages from world-renowned speakers, creative elements, a house party, and ridiculous amounts of fun!

Who Is Thrive For?
Thrive is for middle school students, high school students, young adults, and youth leaders who are ready to pursue Jesus together. Whether your group is brand new or has been coming for years, there’s a place for you here!
What Should Students Bring?

We recommend students bring:

  • Bible + notebook
  • Comfortable clothes and shoes (we have a lot of fun!)
  • Spending money for merch/snacks
  • A heart ready for God to move!
Is Housing Provided?
Housing is not provided. For groups who need overnight accommodations, hotel blocks have been reserved at a few trusted hotels.
What Food Is Provided?
We know young people are always ready for food. Late-night pizza and snacks are provided Friday night during the after-party. Lunch is provided on Saturday as well. Snacks are available for purchase throughout the conference experience. Our on-site coffee shop will also be open.
What If My Student Has Dietary Restrictions?
We want every student to be able to participate. Please communicate any allergies or dietary needs, so our team can plan accordingly.
Is There Security At Thrive?
Absolutely. We have a dedicated team helping create a safe and welcoming environment for every student. Leaders and volunteers will be present throughout the weekend, and we ask all attendees to follow conference guidelines.
Will There Be A Medical Team Available?
Yes. A first aid/medical response team will be available during the conference for any needs that come up. Please make sure all student medical information is completed accurately during registration.
What Does The Afterparty Look Like?
The After Party is one of the highlights of Thrive! We host a dodgeball tournament, Silent Disco, video games, and tons of activities across campus. It’s a chance to have fun together and celebrate what God is doing. It’s a party with a purpose!
What Should Youth Pastors/Leaders Know?
We want you to be able to fully engage with your students! Leaders will receive conference information, schedules, and important updates to help you navigate the weekend well.
Can Parents Attend?
Thrive is designed for students and youth leaders, but parents are welcome to connect with their youth pastor/church group for attendance details and expectations.
